Sick of typing in all those colors by hand? Well there
is a easier way using the bind commands.
Lets start out with what a bind is... it is a way for
you to create your own shorthand. So instead of saying
"Good night folks" you could create a bind like "/GN".
Once created, you could then say "/GN" and what everyone
else would see is ""Good night folks"
This is how you make a bind....
in a chat window in Hardwood, type:
/bind GN=Good night folks!"
[/bind] is the command [GN] is the shorthand and the
rest after the [=] is what you want to say when you use the bind.
Once created you can now type /GN
Okay... so what the heck does all this do with Colors.
I mean, geez that's cool and all but it's still just black text
right!? Well remember the color command... well that can be in
the "what you say" part of a bind.
So if you always want to say "Good night
folks!" in red so can like so...
/bind GNRED=~[C990000]Good night folks!"
Then you could type /gnred to display the red "Good
night folks"
You can take that one step further and change the
color for each letter to make a rainbow of colors.
Another really handy feature of a bind is you can use
it to set up a color to type in like so....
/bind red=~[C990000]
Now you can use this bind to color it red when you
like... so /red I am a strawberry, would display that statement in
red.
